L'Atelier du Gantier was created in 1989 with incomparable artisan expertise in leather glove making for both women and men. L’Atelier is composed of 5 seamstresses and one glove cutter. The workshop is located in the heart of Millau on a cobblestone pedestrian-only street, just minutes from the Beffroi tower. If you’re in Millau, come stop by and say hello.

We work using the local ancestral methods of Millau. Our method of manufacturing has not changed and is faithful to the tradition of glove making in Millau. All of our gloves are made and cut by a glove-cutter. Our style of sewing, “ Piqué Anglais”, requires a high degree of know-how and discipline. However, this sewing style, thanks to the addition of a small piece of leather between each finger, creates a glove with more comfort and unequal resistance. A large majority of our gloves are made from lambskin. We use exclusively first-rate leather chosen from the best tanneries in France, Spain and Italy. Our exotic leather named Pécari is from Latin America and the sheepskin wool is from New Zealand.
All of our liners are also rigorously selected. We use exclusively 100% silk or 100% cashmere as well as rabbit.

The size of the hand is measured with a tape measure around the palm below the knuckles, not including the thumb. See our practical guide.

No need to panic. You have the option to have gloves adjusted to your hand size (= adjustments according to finger length regardless of the hand width).
For this option, send us a letter including an outline of your hand to a scale of 1-1 or a photocopy of your hand next to a double decimeter (still by a scale of 1-1).
Along with this, when ordering don’t forget to tick in "size": "made to measure", and think about measuring around your palm as stated in our practical guide.

All the ordering times are shown on each product sheet. The time scale ranges between 48 hours to 3 weeks depending on the model and our manufacturing schedule.

If you have ordered a pair of personalized or made by measure gloves, it is necessary to allow us the time for the creation of your gloves, which is approximately three weeks. Just a little patience to receive your own pair of bespoke gloves.

1. Colissimo delivery
If you are absent during the time of delivery, the carrier will leave a notice. On this notice, it will be indicated when the carrier will return or where you can pick-up your parcel.
You will have a time period of 14 days to pick-up your parcel.
Occasionally the carrier does not leave a notice. This is the reason we advise you to verify regularly the status of your delivery with your tracking number.
If the delivery status says“delivered” but you have not received it, please check with you groundskeeper or neighbors to see if they might have received it for you.
If the status says “returned to sender” please get in touch with our customer service.

2. Delivery to a collection point
Your parcel did not arrive to your selected collection point? Please verify the status of your shipment with the tracking number. This is probably due to a routing delay. If not, please contact our customer service.
